About Pannel Plus
Pannel Plus Market Research Company is a Pan-India market research and fieldwork organisation, with its head office in Chennai and field teams across the country. Our commitment is to understand what each client needs to know and to design the research around that need. We keep refining our tools so the buyer feedback we gather is more specific and more accurate.
Across the country. Our head office is in Chennai, and our research and field presence covers North, South, East, West, Central and North-East India, including rural districts, in local languages. Chennai is our only office.
Businesses of every size, from a single storefront to a multinational, as well as government departments, state missions, PSUs and development agencies.
Yes. We run impact assessments, monitoring and evaluation, baseline, midline and endline studies, third-party evaluation and concurrent monitoring, skill gap and tracer studies, socio-economic and rural development research, agricultural and value chain studies, and social audits with GIS and data analytics.
Why do research
The purpose of market research is to reduce risk. Whether you are entering a new market, building your position in one, creating a brand, finding out how satisfied customers or employees are, targeting markets more efficiently, developing a new product or testing how well an advertising campaign works, research replaces assumption with evidence.
At any stage. Before you commit money to a new market or product, while you are running and growing the business, and after a campaign or change to measure its effect. It is worth reviewing your competitors, your customers and the gaps in your market regularly.
That is the research doing its job. It is far cheaper to learn that a pack, price or message does not work in a test than after a national launch.
Methods and approach
If you need to know how many people think something, a quantitative survey works best. If you need to know why they think it, focus groups and depth interviews work better. Many projects use both: qualitative research to explore the issue, then a survey to measure how widespread it is. We recommend the right mix after understanding your brief.
Primary research is information collected first-hand for your business, through surveys, interviews and conversations with customers and businesses. Secondary research uses information that already exists, such as government reports, trade association studies and industry publications.
Face-to-face interviews, telephone surveys, online and website surveys, postal and email questionnaires, focus groups, depth interviews, hall tests, store visits and desk research. We pick the combination that reaches your respondents within your budget and timeline.
Carefully designed questions, a sample built around who actually makes the decision, trained field teams, and supervisor-level quality and consistency checks before anything is analysed.
What research can tell you
You learn the value of the market in currency and units sold each year, the historical trend in its size, the key consuming segments, the competition and their shares, and the route to market. We find this through published market reports, desk research and surveys on consumption and brands bought.
You learn awareness of suppliers, attitudes to suppliers and products, and the volume and frequency of purchases. We find this through quantitative surveys by telephone, mail or internet and face-to-face interviews, and through focus groups.
You learn what customers, and sometimes potential customers, think is important in their buying decision, and how satisfied they are with their supplier on each issue. We find this through quantitative surveys by telephone, mail or internet and face-to-face interviews.
You learn the key messages for campaigns and the effectiveness of adverts and promotions. We find this through focus groups, face-to-face interviewing, and quantitative surveys before and after the campaign.
You learn awareness of brands, the values people attach to them, and the influence of a brand in the purchasing decision. We find this through focus groups, telephone interviewing and face-to-face interviewing.
You learn the optimum prices and the price value attached to each feature of the offer. We find this through research in test markets and trade-off analysis using conjoint techniques.
You learn the likelihood of people purchasing different products and their attitudes to those products. We find this through hall tests, focus groups and quantitative research.
You learn the opportunities for segmentation based on demographics, behaviour or needs. We find this through quantitative surveys with factor analysis and cluster analysis.
Working with us
Our fees are affordable and depend on the method, the number and type of people we need to reach, and where they are. Share your brief and we will send a clear quote.
It depends on the method and the sample. A focused qualitative study moves faster than a large national survey. We confirm the timeline with the quote, before any work starts.
A clear report with the findings, what they mean, and our recommendations on what to do next, along with the supporting data.
Send us your brief, call the helpline on +91 70101 03481, message us on WhatsApp, or fill in the quote form. We will come back with a suggested approach and a clear quote.
The purpose of market research is to reduce risk, whatever decision you are facing.
